Google Desktop prevents users from sending mail

I hope someone finds this useful because I spent a few hours
troubleshooting this problem. I was not able to send any e-mail in
Outlook, Outlook Express or Poco Mail. The e-mails look like they send
because they go to the sent items folder but the recipient never
receives them. The culprit was Google Desktop. Once I stopped it from
starting up I could send. If the program is active, I cannot send
e-mail.

Hope this helps.

My computer has Windows 2000 and Outlook 2000.

That's been reported here before, but it's good to have other confirmation.
