gridlines

I am trying to copy a table from excel (offoce 2003) to
word. I can do that but when it prints from word I lose
the gridlines. How can I keep the gridlines from the
excel table when printing it in word?

are you referring to the "light gray" gridlines in Excel that are visible
but don't print?

If so -- you wont' have those in Word -- if you do a simple copy and paste.
But if you paste special -- as an Excel Object -- it will look like you have
lost the lines... But double click the object (which actually lets you work
in the spreadsheet -- with full Excel functionality) -- then click out
again --- and voila! you've got your light gray gridlines.

The other option which may even be easier -- is a simple paste -- which
inserts your data in a Word Table format -- just use the FORMAT --> BORDERS
AND SHADING feature to apply borders where you want them.

Maybe I'm being dense but I couldn't get the gridlines to
print when printing the word document. I can get them to
show up on the screen but ot print. Is that what you
were addressing? If so try again assuming you're talking
to the uneducated. Thanks
