Groove Data Bridge Web Services

Sameer

I recently installed Groove data bridge 3.1 and got it configured. I could
see that the bridge accepts invitations and gets the messages.

Now I have to demonstrate the same programmatically by storing the message
on to SQL Server.

Can one of you please suggest how to access the bridge web services.

Thanks in advance,

Sameer

Hi Sameer -

There's a Groove 2007 Software Development Kit (Google it) available which
makes it possible to talk to Groove and my company sells a product called
Bambuco which makes it practical. There's also an unsupported, undocumented
library on Codeplex.com.

Thanks for the help.

But I configured a Groove 3.1 Data Bridge. Do we have any documentation that
can help me "see" these web services?

Hi Sameer -

The assumption from Microsoft is that you yourself are going to write
programs, using Visual Studio and the the C# programming that talk to your
EDB.

SB kindly gave links for two of the three sources I suggested you look at.

The Codeplex stuff has no docmentation but has several demos I think - its
been a while since I looked at it.

The current Groove 2007 SDK has no useful 3.1-specific content. It has two
demo applications.

I don't know how much support you can get on either of the two above.

Our stuff works almost seamlessly with both Groove 3.1 and 2007, and is
documented and supported. And easy :)

What kinds of messages do you want to store in SQL Server?
