Groove Error : Parameter is incorrect.

After several uninstalls/clean-ups and reinstalls. I still get the following
error:

The parameter is incorrect.
HRESULT:0x80070057
Process: GROVE.EXE (ID: 3996 (0x00000f9c)
Thread ID: 5024 (0x000013a0)
Date :(Current Date and Time)

I'm running Vista and have had no other problems. What does it mean? Any
recomendations on how I fix it? And why doesn't Microsoft supprot Groove in
thier normal manner, rather than charge $250 for support?

Thanks,

Jeff

When do you get this message? Are you able to log in? Does the error happen
at the same point each time?

Hello Michael,

Groove was woking fine until recently. I get the error after I try to start
Groove and I get the Groove start-up logo. That's it. Groove is a great
tool and not having it run on my Desktop is a pain.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm also getting "The parameter is incorrect." error. The HRESULT is
0x80070057.

I'm using multiple computers to sync my files. Initially everything works
perfectly until recently where one of my computer is out of sync. I removed
the account in that computer and readd my account. One particular file
sharing workspace with about 314MB in size is causing this problem when I
tried to open it. Actually the size is not 314MB any more because I have
deleted some files in the original computer. It is now about 90MB, but the
size for syncronization still fixed at 314MB.

Thanks.

I too am having the same problem that JLWoods described above--the only
difference is that I am running Windows XP. I'm unsure why this error is
occurring and what I need to do to fix it. I read on some random tech
website that maybe a new user ID needs to be created?
Does anyone know if Microsoft has any official advice on resolving this error?
Thanks
MariaB
