Grouping resource assignment

Hi,

I want to add a filter to group on the available resources list so that one
can see the resource assignments group wise . Can i do that?

Currently it says: Add the resources for which you would like to view
assignments.-Here i want to have the option to add a group of resources.
Now you have to manually add each & every resource to find the resouce
assignment for that particular resources. Can i add some additional filters
over here so that one canm select a group/department & see those assignments?

I have tried to modify the assignment details from the manage view option
but it didn't work.

I am using Project server 2003 along with Project professional 2003.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks,Ratna

I don't believe this is possible out of the box.

You can save your views as favorites in Project Server 2003. Once you pick
the resources you are interested in, save this as a favorite and you can
then click on it directly from your quick launch the next time you want to
see the same resources' assignments.

You might even be able to share this link with others so they can see the
same resources, but I'm not 100% on that.

Jonathan,a lot of thanks for your help. It is a workable solution & is good
enough for me.

Though i have a related question ..I want to organise the link in the
following way: Department
Area
Dev
Test
There is a link to organise the saved links but it only allows to either
rename or delete. Are there any better way somewhere?

Thanks Again.

Unfortunately this feature doesn't allow for grouping like you want. As you
discovered, organizing saved links only allows you to rename and/or delete.

I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

Have you tried copying the url behind the saved link and sending it to
someone else to see if it shows up the same information on their browser?

I seem to remember that working back when I was using saved links a few
years ago. If that does work, you could potentially add those links to PWA
as custom links.
