Grow a line vertically, straight up from one point.

How do I mke a small line, about 1/8th inch long, grow vertically straight up
from where I placed it. When I make it grow vertically, it grows upward and
downward at the same time--I just want it to grow straight up. I want to
show how to determine slope of a line by using Rise over Run.

Have you tried using Wipe (from bottom) animation to achieve the desired
effect?
