hi i just posted on a comments question. to clarify this
more my web page that i am talking about is a guestbook
page with comments.question is how do i daily clear and
save the comments to a file that i can review.thanks

The FP guest book is not designed for this
You could open your live web in FP (File Open Web http://www.yoursite.com) and edit or copy the guestlog.htm in the _private folder
- just do not delete the webbot in the page
