Has anyone seen this one before?

Windows and Outlook 98---I set up a new profile for an
existing user. Upon entering Outlook it says it is
synching (Why is this when outlook itself is not set to
synch folders?) When it is done synching all of a sudden a
personal folder appears where there wasn't one before.
This personal folder then locks up his PC. Now mind you, I
only added Exchange Server to the profile and no personal
folders are appearing under tools, services. When you try
to look at the properties of the personal folder you get
an error that says "cannot load object." Does anyone know
what could be happening?
