Have Office XP but older versions keep intruding

I have Office XP installed (under Windows XP Pro) with all the latest
updates but "About Word" shows Word 2002. Not necessarily a bad thing, but
when changing features in Word the CD that is required is Office 2000
Premium, which I have and it works, but I'm wondering what's going on.
