Headers From Chapter Pages

In formatting a manuscript using different headings for
odd and even pages, how do I get these headings removed
from the pages where a new chapter begins.

I know you can do this using Microsoft Office Publisher
2003 by applying multiple master pages. With Publisher
2002, I believe you would have to cover up the
headers/page numbers with a blank text box or autoshape.
