I have a problem when starting a new document, word is
vcreating a header which is much bigger than required.If
I try to reduce it by dragging the bottom margin up , it
jumps and creates a header that occupies the whole page.I
cannot reduce the header size.HELP!!!!!

Check - File > Page Setup > Layout > Vertical Alignment is set to Top
