help how do I send and receive japanese email

I have windows XP home and office xp prefessional

How do I obtain the correct programs or add in to receive
and send email in Japanese? When I was over in Japan I
had access to a computer that I could use in either
english or japanese. What is available here in the U.S.

it should just download it on demand when you receive an email.

to send an email in japanese, you need to install an IME, have a look,
perhaps using google. you'll find
www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/ recommended/ime/default.asp
