Help I like to convert a word doc into a pdf and insert it to Pub

M

Michael

I am trying to convert a word doc to a pdf and insert it into a Web site in
Pub 2003.
So our cusotmer could download it and print it.

Thanks
Mike

You want to turn a .DOC into a .PDF so you can insert it into a
Publisher-created website? I had to read that a couple of times to figure
out what you were asking.

(1) Publisher really has nothing to do with what you need to do.

(2) You need a .PDF creating software program. I use Acrobat Pro but I'm
fortunate in that it was purchased for my use. You either need Acrobat or
you need one of the low-cost/free alternatives.

uh...seems like a lot of extraneous steps here...why not upload the word.doc and create a link to it?...why pdf...why publisher?...almost everyone has Word on their machine.

PDF is a more compatible format - there are PDF readers available for UNIX
and Linux (and variants thereof), as well as for Windows for those who don't
have Word (and Adobe Reader is more common than Microsoft Word Viewer)

Apparently the Pub part is just the way the website was created. Nothing
more than that.

I went to the site that Don typed. Odd site. Pretty picture but that's all
it is except for a small email link in the lower left corner. For a company
who says they help you think outside of the box, they must have a box they
like A LOT.
