HELP! Iam desperate!

D

Dimitris

I need immediate help. I accidently deleted a table and I have no back-up.
I know that there is no excuse but I learned the hard way.
Please tell me that there is a solution!!
I am desperately waiting for good news!
Thanks
Dimitris

Do a search. This question was asked Friday, and one of the MVPs posted
some 'magic code' that could be pasted in a module and run to retrieve a
deleted table in some cases.

Do a search on posts from the last few days and you should find it.

Here is that post I just mentioned....

I deleted an important table within my database, is there any way I can get
it back? Does it go to an underlying area where I can revive it?

If you have done nothing else "Edit - Undo" might bring it back. Otherwise
you would need to contact a company that does recovery work against Access
files. One is called PKSolutions (If I recall correctly).

Were you working from a local hard drive (C:\\) or a Network drive? If you
are working on a local drive, you might be able to go into the Recycle bin
and restore the file. If you were working on a Network drive, you'll have
to contact your network administrator to see if the file can be restored.

I saw that article. But it says it works only if the database has not been
closed since the table was deleted.
And I have closed my database since then, even my computer!
I have no idea how the table was deleted. I swear I didn't delete it, but
the table isn't there. I don't know what
happened I can only assume I accidently pressed something, eventhough I am
positive I didn't.
Is there anything I can do? Anything at all?
Thanks
Dimitris

Coleen,

I don't think she deleted an enmtire file, jsut a table which would not be
in the recycle bin.

(If I understand her question correctly)

There is no harm in at least trying the code in the article.
It *should* not hurt anything if it does not work.

Keep your fingers crossed and give it a try.

If it fails, you may need to seek a professional service.

Sorry, I thought he meant he had deleted the entire db...restoring from the
recycle bin is simple, and relatively simple from the network, but in this
case - sorry, try the code in the link...as Jeff said there should be no
harm, and at the very least, you might get your table back.
