help with automate please

I am attempting to make a job sheet in excel - It comprises of three different pages - what I need to do is for the job number on page one to automatically enter on page 2 & 3.

Second problem - using the template that I have created, I want the next job sheet opened to have the next number

YOu can probably tell I need some help - am I even using the right program? Is this possible in excel or would I be better in access

Any patient persons reply would be sooo much appreciated

One way:

Say your job number is in cell J1 of Sheet1, then in Sheet2 and Sheet3,
enter

=Sheet1!J1

there are a number of ways to do this, depending on a number of
variables, including whether you want to store the template locally or
on a remote server, where the job number should reside, etc.

A search of the archives of these groups:

http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search?q=group:*excel*

will give you a number of ways to proceed. I'd suggest you use something
like "sequential invoice number" as a search term.
