Help with Databases

Carrie

I am running an XP machine. Keep in mind that I am not
technical at all. I am an Admin Assistant so I make
things look pretty. Thats about it.

Anyway, I learning about visio databases and I am getting
stuck right at the begining.

I have a database set up in Excel already and would like
to convert it into a nice looking flowchart so that when
I update the database...the chart updates as well.

I think I need to use the Reverse Engineer but I am
getting stuck on the driver thing. I don't know what kind
of driver I use or how to find this out. As I said
before, I am "technically" stupid.

I may not be taking the right steps to accomplish my task
so if you know of another way, please, tell me.

the short answer is that excel is a spreadsheet not a database. although technically a flatfile (spreadsheet) may be referred to as a database, within the context of visio they are not.
