[heur] notation

Users on our Outlook system are noticing their subject line of incoming mail
(both internal and external email) contains [heur]. We recently upgraded our
Exchange server, and added additional filters. Does anyone know what this
notation means, is action needed, or just generally what it means when it
appears on the subject line of email. Thank you.

"Heur" is the French word for ":hour". What it means is that you or one of
the routers that feeds you has some third-party add-in that is inserting
that string.

Thank you for your answer. Our Lan administrator stated this is possibly
being caused by filters recently put in place, and the filters were thinking
this incoming mail contained spam, which it didn't. Your answer makes a
little more sense.
