Hide "Links Between Projects" window

Hello All,

We have many cross-project dependencies in Project Server
2002. We are limiting access to certain project files b/c
of an non-disclosure agreement (NDA). This is accomplished
with the security framework in the Admin section of
Project Server.

However, when I log in as a user who should not have
access to a given project file, the "Links Between
Projects" window appears. I realize that this is an option
that can be deselected. However, I would like to DISABLE
this option for users who should not view information
related to the restricted-access project file(s).

The reason being is that the Links Between Projects window
contains the name of tasks, the type of constraints those
tasks have, the start date of the task, the % complete of
the task, and the changes in the linkages. Assuming that
we are trying to implement security to comply with an NDA,
the task name, FS, and % Complete are inexcusable access
points to the data. Our goal is to disable this window
(Found in Tools > Links Between Projects) for a group of
users.

Questions are:
1) Can you disable a feature in Project Professional 2002
that cannot be undone by a smart user in the Macros window?
2) Can you disable a feature for a select group of Project
Server users?

Any starting point advice is welcomed.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Ann

I believe someone in the VBA group can give you a more
definitive answer, but you can write a compiled VB
program and link to the UnLoad event that I believe would
actually provide what you are looking for.
