Hide Table Borders

S

Sophia McRae

Hi!

I create a Table (Table-Insert) and specified the number
of columns and rows.

When I am done, I want to hide all the cell borders (Table-
Hide Gridline) and the gridline does not hide (either in
print or in view)!

I am tricking it now by doing Format-Border.. and then
pick white so the line does not show. However, this
should not be so!

Please advise. Thank you!

You don't hide them; you remove them; instead of coloring them white, you
select None in Format | Borders and Shading. Ctrl+Alt+U will take them all
off. Or if you have Word 2002, you can select Table Normal (which has no
borders) as your default Table AutoFormat.

If you're trying to get rid of the gridlines, you've already figured out one
solution; see http://home.zebra.net/~sbarnhill/HideGridlines.htm
