hiding finanicial info

Hi

We've been asked to upload our project plan to the customer's project portal.
Is there a way to hide or restrict access to financial information (for
example the resource's hourly rate, project budget, etc)?
Is it possible to set certain views based on the user's level of access or
role?

Thank you

Hi H,

I'm not sure what you mean by "Project Portal", but if you give the
customer the *.mpp file the answer is no, sorry. If the individual has
access to the MS Project file, they can view all information in the
file. I would probably zero out the resource standard and overtime
rates or set them all to $1.00 to preserve the ability to use earned
value data.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

The project portal is just a Sharepoint site and we would be uploading the
mpp file. I thought we couldn't hide the data but wanted to check anyways.
Thanks for the fast response.

We submit the files in PDF Format. Typically there is some type of
specification or requirement as to what information needs to be included.

Make a view containing that information, print to a PDF and then post that.
We do it every month :)
