Hiding Resource Rates

I have a Resouce Pool with 2000+ resources. It contains the hourly rates for
all the resources to allow me to generate cost data from project plans.
However for HR reasons I need to hide the rate information from plans that
are linked to this pool. Tried a few idea's but short of having two versions
of the Pool with and without rates and linking/unlinking from ALL the
sub-projects when i need to do budget work (tried it and takes a couple of
hours) I'm at a loss. Help

The rates can't be hidden. However, it's not difficult to put the rates into
a spreadsheet or database then have a macro temporarily import the rates to
Project, create your report then delete the rates again.

Alternatively change all the rates to include overheads and round all rates
in a similar band to be the same value. Now the rates are much less
politically sensitive.

Hi Rod,
It looks like I will be putting them in xls. That was the origonal plan
just wanted to see if there was a simple way of doing it
