Hiding the Gantt Chart for printing

I'd like to hide the Gantt chart graphic for printing but retain the task
columns to the left. I haven't a view that will allow me to do this. Is
there one, or do I have to create a new view?

Hi,

There is a view, it's called Task Sheet (View-More Views)
Moreover if you move the split bar to the extreme right of the screen you
have the same effect.

Is there a way to print just the Gantt chart for certain time periods? For
instance if I wanted to print only the month of January?

Hi Michelle,

Yes. Drag the split bar far left as Jan as recommended and in the File >
Print dialog box you can set the date range to print.

Hi,

I have the same need and the results of these two methods are not exactly
the same for me.
1) In a Gantt View, the row height is controlled by the gantt bars and is
typically taller than they are in the Task Sheet - a little more readable.
The Task Sheet has more lines per page - fewer pages for large printouts.
2) I have an old slow printer (HP6L) that chokes on the output of the Task
Sheet - I don't know why - but the Gantt View works best for my needs. If
anyone knows how I can fix the Printer issue, let me know.
