Highlight graphic area and text for one time period

Merlin

I need help highlighting the description and the graphic area for any
activity that has work performed on April 9th. It does not matter when the
activity starts or finishes, only if it has work being performed on that day.
Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hi Merlin,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Project/Filtered for: All Tasks/More Filters.../ select the Date Range...
filter/ Highlight and enter the appropriate dates when asked. This will
highlight the Task Names text in blue (you can change the highlight format
via Format/Text Styles.../select highlighted text in Item to change, and
change the font to meet your needs). As for the bar, you'll need to set
this up. Insert a Flag field. Apply the filter without selecting Highlight
and in the flag field, change it to Yes on the first task. Then click the
fill block (the tiny black box to the bottom right of the selected cell -
the cursor should change to a tiny + sign) and drag town to fill all the
cells the same. Now in Format/Text Styles, create a new bar at the bottom
to show a different bar colour for tasks with the Flag set. Now apply the
same filter selecting Highlight. If you want another date, you'll have to
reset the Flag field first. Post again if you need help on any of these. If
you're going to do this frequently, I suggest you need to get into some vba
code!

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
