highlighting a date

Hi there,

Does anybody know how to highlight a date on the gantt chart view. I
want to show the x-mas holiday period (column) on my gantt chart :)

Thanks

Hi project newby ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

There's no built-in way to do this. If you're not using the Status Date,
you could set it to 25 Dec and use Format/Gridlines... to give it a colour
and style. The only other way is to use the drawing tools to colour a line
or a rectangle and attach it to 25 Dec.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hello,
You can't highlight only one nonworking date, but all the non working dates:
Tools / Change Working Time...
Select december 25th and click the Nonworking time option. / OK
By default, non working times are greyed. You can change the color :
Format / Timescale... / Non-working time
