Highlighting Text in a text box

I am using 2007 and wondered if there is a way to highlight text in a text
box like you do in word? This is probably something simple and my brain is
just not clicking. Thanks!

Left click/drag your cursor across the text.

Place your cursor where you want the high-light to start, press shift and place
the cursor where you want the high-light to stop.

I understand how to select it... I just mean how to make it look like you
have used a highlighter ... like in Word. I can't seem to find the same
feature in Publisher.

Create a fat line over the word(s), give it a color, send the line to the back.

This works beautifully in a regular text box situaion! Thanks... However, I
am using a Semi-Transparent text-box on top of a watermark-type master sheet.
So, when I send to back it get's somewhat lost behind the Semi-Transparent
text-box. So... I just thought Publisher may have a way like Word to
highlight text. Thanks for the brilliant idea ... I will use in the future
for sure!

If you create a semi-transparent rectangle and put it behind the text box, then
the high-lighted line will work.

Transparency has always been a problem for Publisher. If you right-click the
transparent rectangle, save as a .png picture and re-insert it will print fine.
