Historical Tracking in Project

Hi,
I was wondering if you can track changes in Project like you can in Word
where it provides you with a summary of change points. I know about tracking
in general with base line etc but when I am progressing through projects I
sometimes have to elimnate whole tasks but would like a record somewhere of
me doing so. Any suggestions?
