Hit Counter

I would like to keep track on vists to my page, however I
do not want to make it public. Is there a way to hide the
hit counter so only I can see it?

Create a 1 pixel by 1 pixel gif image, give it
a name and save it.
Import it into your FrontPage web.
Insert your hit counter, select custom image
and type in the path and name to your gif image.

You will be able to read the "count" by
opening the _private folder on your live web
and then opening the pagename.htm.cnt file in Notepad.

pagename= the file name of the page with the hit counter,
