You will need an MS Project file containing the target calendar ... it may be
the "standard" calendar from the country of orign... such as France, Saudi
Arabia, etc.
I don't know of anyplace to download a Project1.mpp file containing such
calendars. Perhaps project team members from around the world can sent you a
copy a file they have with all their holidays in it.
I have P2003 handy, so this pertains to P2003. If it is different in P2007,
others may post.
Open the file containing the desired calendar(s)
Tools/Organizer... pull the Calendars Tab.
Look for the desired calendar in the right pane, you may need to rename it
if it matches a name already in use in the left pane.
Copy the desired calendar(s) from the Project File into Global.mpt
Save
Close the file.
Repeat until you have all the desired calendars in Global.mpt.
These calendars are now available for assignment in all files created from
that global.mpt.
A quick "Google" on "MS Project Calendars" did not reveal anything useful.
A word of caution.... some countries do not use the Gregorian Calendar which
may lead to some complex problems. Most countries, however, do have business
requiring use of the Gregorian (Christian) calendar. For example, in Qatar
and many Muslim countries, the default work week is our Sunday through
Thursday.
