Home Network Printing after installing Service Pak 2 for Windows X

I have two computers networked through a LInksys router which also
facilitates DSL use by multiple computers. Our laser printer is connected to
the other computer (not mine) and I have been able to print to it most
easily. Since installing Service Pak 2, it takes FOREVER to recognize the
networked printer and to perform the print job. It eventually happens but
not for at least 5 minutes. All applications, not just Word, are affected

Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated

It would appear from your description that this is a Windows, not a Word,
problem, so you would probably be better advised to post in a Windows NG.
