Hotmail Outlook 2003 Why won't it show reply or forward symbols?

I am using hotmail through Office Outlook 2003. On my other accounts, when I
reply to or forward an e-mail, the letter symbol changes to an envelope with
an arrow on it, plus once you open the e-mail it says I've replied to it.
It's been a while ago, but it seems to me there was no problem with this in
Outlook Express. I'm not hooked on OUtlook, so I need a solution so I don't
send 100 of the same repsonses to the same person.

I meant to say I'm now hooked on Outlook, not I'm not hooked.

You might try using the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector to manage your
Hotmail account in Outlook -- it's free now, and it makes your Hotmail
account act more like a server-based account (like Exchange) instead of
HTTP-based. The reply and forward indicators will work if you use the
Connector. Download it at

Can you further define "Not Working"? If you have a paid Hotmail account,
you may have to activate the connector by logging into your account online.
