How 2 get a ppt template to apply automatically to new projects?

I need to figure out how to get a *.pot file to apply to new powerpoint
projects as soon as I open powerpoint. Do I need to save the *.pot file
somewhere specific? Anyone know how to do that?

Read this, pay particuliar good attention to the last paragraph, as you will
see it's quite easy in PPT 2003.

You should save in the default position (C:\docs & settings \ your
name\application data\microsoft\templates) but name it blank.pot
