From a form (Access 2000) I have a button that will send an email, it will
open first in an Outlook window to be checked and by pressing "send" off it
will go.
On some emails I need to attach an excel file, I can attach it at the
checking stage, but ideally I would like Access to do it for me (say by
having the file location detailed on the form). What is the best way to do
this.. I am not a programmer, but I just try to add small bits of code when
needed.
I have detailed below the code to send the email, incase it can be amended
re the file attachment (I know its not pretty but it works)
DoCmd.SendObject , "", "", Forms![All Unread]![Send Reply to], Forms![All
Unread]![Copy Reply to] & "", "", Forms![All Unread]![Heading Reply],
Forms![All Unread]!Reply & vbCrLf & vbCrLf & vbCrLf & Forms![All
Unread]!signature & vbCrLf & vbCrLf & "Original Emails" & vbCrLf & vbCrLf &
Forms![All Unread]!Contents, True, ""
with thanks
