How can I close a "new message" that wasn't sent?

I'm trying to close Microsoft Word, which says I can't because my "new
message" wasn't sent. How do I get out of this?

You've turned on the Message Header. Either click the "E-Mail" command
in the Standard toolbar to turn it off or go to File/Send to/Mail
Recipient.
