how can I control the split task?

Dave, Steve,

Good day, I hope you could assist me.

I want to split several tasks and I am using the split task function from
Edit-Split Task. In addition the tasks type are set to Fixed Duration without
Effort driven.

How can I control the Gantt splited tasks, if I want them to show a similar
effort in both ends? Can I insert a column to control the start and end for
each segment of an splitted activity?

thank you

The best way is in either the Task Usage or Resource Usage view. Here you
have daily control over things. To insert a split just put 0 hours in a
day and you have a split.

Francisco,
Unfortunately Project does not make the fields for split start and stop
available in Project views. I know of only two ways to replicate spits
on multiple tasks. If resources are assigned one method is to show the
Task Usage view and then manually manipulate the Work to create dead
time (i.e. splits) as desired. A second method is use VBA and set up a
loop for all tasks that are to be split. Within the loop use the Split
Method to establish split start and end times.

Hope this helps.
