How can I find Product Key in my pc system?

I'm installing my software over to a new pc and can't find the Product Key to
install Office 2000 pro on the new one. Where can I find the code on my
current PC?

The product key should be a 25-digit number on a yellow/orange sticker
on the back of the Office CD jewel case (retail copy) or on a
certificate of authenticity (OEM copy). Office 2000 does not write the
product key to the Windows registry, unlike earlier and later versions.
To obtain a replacement product key for a small fee ($10?), see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823570 "How to obtain a new product
key for Office program setup".

You can't find it on your system. Even programs like Belarc only
provide you with the Windows key and not the installation key for
Office, although it will give you your registration number.

The key is located on the back of the jewel case that housed your CDs.
If you no longer have that, and if you are a registered user, you can
call Microsoft and they will give you a key to handle the
installation. Well, at least they DID. Whether they will still do this
for Office 2000 as a support issue, you'll have to find out by calling
them. There may be a charge for this service.

Don't listen to Dian. She is talking rubbish. Use keyfinder on your current PC and start from there. This wonderful software gives you keys for XP, Win2k and office XP/office2003 products. Use this link:

Hope this proves useful.
PS: MVPs are there to make more money for Sir Bill! Sir Bill Gates is using them
like any pimp would do!!
