How can I save a complete Personal folder of messages to a CD?

I want to save several complete personal folders of messages. How can I save
the entire folder to a CD?

To save the whole PST file, which might be easier, close Outlook, and use
your CD burning software to burn the PST file to CD. Note that to open this
on another computer, you'll need to copy the PST file back to your hard
drive and remove the read-only attribute before Outlook can access it.

If you don't know where your PST file is, do a search for *.pst (include
hidden/system folders if on W2k/XP).

If you don't want to copy the whole PST file, export the individual folders
to different PST files and burn those to CD in the same manner.

You can create a new personal folders file via the file | new | outlook data
file menu option. Copy/Move items from your mailbox to this new personal
folder file. Close Outlook. Burn the PST to a CDR/RW at a speed no greater
than 4x. (anything faster this and the file tends to corrupt.)

Determine the path to your personal folders: right click
on Personal Folders, then choose Properties. Write down
the path.

Start your CD burning software and choose the files in the
folder path you identified in the first step, as the ones
to be burned to the CD.

Burn the CD.
