How can I show hours by month for a resource?

W

wendy

I have resources that are assigned to tasks. They have have a certain
number of hours assigned to each task with a start date and end date.
For example, the PM resource is assigned to a task that begins in
March and ends in June, with a total number of hours of 120. I would
like a report that shows that assignment's hours by month. So, for
that example, the report would show:

Resource March April
May June
PM 30 30
30 30

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks for any ideas!!

wendy,
Have you looked at the Resource Usage view or Task Usage view? Set the
timescale for months and you should have exactly what you want. If not,
help us by explaining why neither of those views give you what you want.

How can you run the same view but also display the WBS and maybe a text field
with the same hours detail for each resource? I don't like how the GANT
shows multiple resources as a comma separated field, but would rather have a
line for each of the resources assigned to the same Task.

This is similiar to another question I asked so sorry for the redundancy,
but I thought I'd dove-tail into this post since it was similiar.

Thanks.....

Mark,
Well you can certainly add the WBS field to either the Resource or Task
Usage views but I'm not quite sure why you need a text field for hour
detail for each resource. That is automatically provided in the Usage
views. Maybe I don't understand what you really want.
