How did I get here?

I have just realised that I am in a US newsgroup - I think. Perhaps I should
be in the European one? Is there an English European newsgroup? I must have
got here via the various links in Windows/Office. Any comments?

If you don't know how you got here, how are you going to receive the
replies?

No, it is not a US group. It is an English-speaking group, loosely
speaking, assuming that you accept the US speaks a sort of English.

If you want other groups, then try a proper newsreader instead of that
quirky web interface.

I meant that I could not recall how I came here originally. I think I may be
getting confused due to lack of sleep and all the aggravation I'm having with
XP, Office, and with Symantec/Norton. I know the latter has two separate
English groups, and I somehow ended up in their US one. It's not a problem,
I was meerly pondering.

May I enquire what you mean by "quirky web interface"? I shall explore the
references you gave me, thank you.

Hi Jess

Try a proper newsreader and you may understand what I mean by "quirky
web interface".
I am on a slow dial up and I don't have the time or patience for the
web interface you are using.

Now I understand. Thank you. I will use OE eventually, but I have various
reasons for not dong so at present.
