How do I add Task Summary Name to rsrc rpt like WhoDoesWhatWhn?

Hi
I have a consolidated project plan that has a list of clients first and then
specific tasks indented underneath them. So, it's like

Client 1
- Software Installation (John) 10/10 - 10/14
Client 2
- Technical meeting (Sue, John) 10/4 - 10/6
- Software installation (John) 10/17 - 10/19

I would like to use the Who Does What When report to see where folks are in
the coming weeks, but it only shows the task name and not the task summary
name. So I can see what they are doing, but not for which client. Our tasks
are all standardized in terms of naming, so a particular person does many of
the same tasks and it's really more important to know where they are doing
it. so in the example above, I would just see
John
- Software Installation 10/10 - 10/14
- Software Installation 10/17 - 10/19

Is there a way to view the Task Summary name so it would read like this
instead?
John
- Software Installation Client 1 10/10 - 10/14
- Software Installation Client 2 10/17 - 10/19

I have seen where if you get the Usage table, it does try and show Task
Summary Name, but it doesn't explode the rows so I only see a single,
collapsed row for each resource and not the task activity.

Thanks so much!

hi Patrick,

On the reports selection dialog box slect the Who Does What When report and
click eidt.
A dialog box "Crosstab report" is displayed. On this dialog select Details
and click summary tasks.

Step by step procedure is as follows:

On the View menu, click Reports.
Click the report type you want, and then click Select.
(If you chose Custom as the report type, click a report in the Reports list,
click Edit)

Click the report you want, and then click Edit.
To print summary tasks in a task report, click the Definition tab.
To print summary tasks in a crosstab report, click the Details tab.

For a task report, select the Show summary tasks check box.
For a crosstab report, under Show, select the Summary tasks check box.

For a custom report, click OK, and then click Print.
For a preset report, click OK, click Select, and then click Print.

Thanks for the feedback, but unfortunately I want a Resource based report not
a task one.

I know that you can have a task report like this, with the outline
displayed, but in the Crosstab Report dialogue box in the Definition tab, if
you select Resource in the Row drop-down the "Show Summary Tasks" checkbox is
greyed out.

Any other thoughts out there?

Patrick
