How do I animate the drawing of a line in PowerPoint?

Which version of PPT? If you are using PPT 2002 or later, you can use a
combination of wipe animations and line segments to do what you need. (If
the line is straight, you can just use the wipe animations.) It can be
tedious, but it is very doable.
