How do i assign a color to a particular task

I work in a service department and i need to have an area where i can assign
a colour to Installations and another colour to Service - confirmed, another
color to Service unconfirmed, and so on and so on.

Is there any way in project i can do this

You can do this to the Gantt Chart bars, but not the text easily. You could
use VBA code to do this but it's probably simplest to have a custom Text
field (EG Text1) with a lookup list of Service - confirmed etc and edit each
task to have the relevant value. You can then filter for the subset of tasks
you want.
