How do I back up my e-mails onto CD

I have a large number of important business and personal e-mails on my
desktop. I want to safeguard against a hard disk crash (or stolen computer)
by copying these e-mails onto a CD. How do I do this?

With outlook closed copy any *.pst files to cd/dvd

I am trying to back up each individual folder in my inbox(i have a folder for
each of my clients), I used outlook 2007. when i export the folder to my
documents folder as a pst file and then try to burn it onto a cd it says it
cant do it. any ideas

Highly inefficient. Why do you want to do that? Inbox is a singl
folder as it is. In general, all of Outlook's folders are kept in
single data store by default. Why change it?

I highly doubt the error is "you can't do that." State the EXACT tex
of the error. If I really wanted to do what you describe, I'd expor
each folder to a PST, then close Outlook and copy the PSTs to the CD.
There should be no problem doing that. You shouldn't do it whil
Outlook is open
