how do I change read-only message on a cd I burned ?

Help. I burned a file on my old computer to a cd so I can enter it into my
new computer and it won't work because of the 'read-only' message. How can I
eliminate read only? (Its a mss I wrote). I'm using MS XP and office 2003.

After copying it to your hard drive, right-click on the file in Windows
Explorer and choose Properties. Clear the check box for Read Only.
