How do I change the width of some cells but not others?

Hi Mike

You can only change the width of a whole column.
However, you can use Format=>Cells=>Alignment=>Merge to give the appearance
of a cell having the width of the two cells beneath it.

or (better), use Cells>Format>Alignment and pick Center across selection
from the Horizontal dropdown (merge cells are problematical)
