How do I compare project progress against different baselines?

I setup a an original baseline and then realized I needed one more update.
When I look at a tracking gannt though, it still compares the progress
against the original baseline. How do I get the program to compare progress
to updated baseline1?

Menu item: Tools/Options. Click Calculation Tab. Click "Earned Value"
button.
Select the baseline of your choice. Click OK.

Hi Mike,

The Tracking Gantt shows the bars for Baseline data. If you wish to see
the bars for Baseline1, choose Format > Bar Styles and change the
references in the Baseline bar from Baseline Start to Baseline1 Start
and Baseline Finish to Baseline1 Finish.

However, variance (Start Variance, Finish Variance, etc) in table views
will still be calculated off Baseline data. You could insert custom
fields and write formulas in the custom fields to calculate variance
from Baseline1 if you wish.

Another option is to copy the Baseline1 over Baseline through Tools >
Tracking > Save Baseline, Save interim plan. Copy Baseline1 to
Baseline. This will overwrite your original baseline data and any
variance will be calculated off the new data. You could first copy your
Baseline data to another Baseline (Baseline2 for example), then
overwrite the Baseline data with Baseline1 data.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
