How do I create text that will appear only when I hover w/cursor?

Can you tell me how to format or program text so it will appear only if you
hover the cursor over the invisile text? Any advise would be much appreciated

It sounds like you want to do what you have encountered on the web, involving
roll-overs, slices & a fair amount of html/javascript/etc. which Word does
not provide. Word is primarily for creating documents for print.

About the closest you will come (as far as standard features, anyway) is
Insert>Comment. Maybe that will give you what you need if you turn the Show
Balloons off in Tools>Options--Track Changes.

I followed your directions and it worked out pretty good. I have zip
experience with programing and I am just doing a simple, electronic word
document for the purpose of self testing for the pharmacists in my
