How do I cut out portions of a picture that I don't want?

I have scanned pages from a lab manual and saved them as a windows bitmap file.
When I open the file up in microsoft office picture manager, there seems to
be no method to cut out portions of the document that I don't want.

This newsgroup is dedicated to Microsoft Project, a planning and scheduling
application. You will have much better luck with a different news group.

That said, here are the basics:
In picture manager, on the Formatting toolbar, click Edit Pictures.
In the Edit Pictures task pane, under Edit using these tools, click Crop.


From there it is intuitive
