How do I deactivate Office 2003, please?

I've installed and activated the academic Office Pro 2003 on a laptop and a
desktop. The desktop is now being replaced by a 2nd laptop. How do I transfer
the Office 2003 activation, please? Or do I deactivate it on the desktop and
reactivate it on the new laptop?

Sorry, but you will be required to purchase another licence. The Academic
licence is governed by the same EULA that governs all retail Office versions
(bar the Students and Teachers Edition).

The EULA states that: -

The application may be installed on *ONE* desktop and *ONE* laptop provided
that: -

1) They are for the sole use of the primary licencee

2) They will not be in simultaneous use.

As you are replacing the desktop with another laptop you would be in breach
of the EULA if you installed the same licence again.

Please note that an Academic licence is *NOT* the same as the STE (which is
Office Standard only). An Academic licence is sold to students on campus at
vastly reduced rates, but is still subject to the same EULA as the full
priced retail versions.
