How do I differentiate "Highlighted" and "Marked" tasks?

Text styles allow different fonts/typeface/colors for these types of tasks,
but I cannot find how to make a task "Highlighted" or "Marked"... I would
like to be able to use this in communications with teams and management...

Hi ycm,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Tasks can be highlighted when you apply a filter - Project/Filtered
for.../More Filters/select the filter you want and then the Highlight
button.

Insert/Column/select Marked. Then select the tasks you want marked by
changing the No default to Yes.
