How do I enable spell check on a lock word document?

I created a word document with text and lock the document with password.
When I lock the document most of the features in the menu and toolbar are
greyed out and cannot be used. Is there a way to enable them when you lock a
document especially the spell check just to spell check the field they type
information or to be able to paste some graphs, tables and pictures. Please
help.
